Participants will learn basic tool identification and usage, building components, site layout and preparation, floor systems, wall framing, ceiling framing, and roof framing. Additional skills to be learned will include shingling, siding installation, basic trim work, and door and window installation. Classroom training will include completion of the OSHA 10-Hour Safety for Construction course and basic blueprint reading. The main project for the class will be the construction of a utility building.
