Nurse Aide Written State Competency Test - $60

Tests are required by the federal government and the State of Iowa if you plan to work in a certified long-term care facility as a nurse aide.  The tests are given in two parts: the Nurse Aide Written Test and the Nurse Aide Skills Competency testing. You have three separate changes to take each test. When both tests are passed, your name will be placed on the Direct Care Worker Registry. After three no-passing scores, on either test, you must take a nurse aide training program and retake both tests. The written test is given in the NIACC Student Learning Center via computer. To take an oral test a request must be made at least one week in advance. Picture ID is required to be admitted to testing. Payment is required at registration. Upon completion of registration and payment ask to be transferred to the SLC to schedule a testing time.  Schedule a minimum of one day prior to the desired testing date.
