The Dementia Simulation House is on campus at the University of Northern Iowa. It provides a hands-on experience to learn what it's like to live with Alzheimer's and other dementias. Each session is free and includes discussion and guidance from faculty and students within UNI's Gerontology and Counseling programs to help increase empathy towards those with dementia and empower care partners. This class has limited space as they allow groups of up to 18 to go through the house per session. Lifelong Learners may drive separately or use NIACC provided transportation.
