ClassGraphic Join us on an adventure to New Ulm, MN! Named after a German city on the border of Bavaria,this historic city will take you back in time to the Old Country with its stunning architecture, and roots that go all the way back to the 19th century!
Explore fun, traditional German shops, and cute boutiques on main street. Lunch on some German cuisine or pick from many food restaurants and finish the day at the Schell’s Brewery! Take a tour of the brewery and learn of its fascinating historic journey of how it has come to be now the second oldest family-owned brewery in the U.S., right behind the Pennsylvania brand Yuengling. Not to mention the oldest and largest brewery in Minnesota now that Schell’s brews Grain Belt as well.
The brewery grounds are a great place to take a scenic walk up to the historic mansion on the grounds, and you may just run into a peacock or two! Pick up will be available pick at Mason City NIACC Campus at the Activity Center and Pick up at Clear Lake Perkins parking lot. Please look for an email as we get closer to the trip date.

Please read:  At the end of the historical and very interesting brewery tour, you will be able to do a tasting of some of their most popular sellers. Non- Alcoholic options are available also, like their very popular 1919 made root beer! You will also be able to explore their amazing gift shop full of great souvenirs. This trip will have a good amount of walking involved so please wear appropriate footwear. Lunch will be on your own. The bus fuel,snack,water, and brewery tour fee are included in the price.
