The Rest of the Story: Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin's Careers in Australia and India

When she lectured in Canberra and Castlecrag, Australia, in 2016, she was impressed that the design motifs used by the Griffins in Castlecrag were similar to those they used in Mason City for their Rock Crest–Rock Glen houses. Visitors to the Melson House had often told her that she needed to see the Griffin houses in Castlecrag. Her talk will highlight these similarities and explore the forward-looking architecture the Griffins created. The presentation will follow Walter and Marion to the end of their careers and lives.
