
The CLIMB READY – Wind Technician Program offers workforce ready students a comprehensive and immersive training experience designed to equip them with the essential safety and technical skills needed for a successful career in the wind energy industry. Emphasizing safety and technical proficiency, the program ensures graduates are well-prepared to meet industry demands and excel in their careers. Upon successful completion, participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of wind career safety, covering OSHA 10, first aid, manual handling, fire awareness, working at heights, control of hazardous energy, and hoist user training. The technical skills training includes mechanical, electrical, bolt tightening, and hydraulics competencies. Additionally, students will earn several key industry certifications: the NFPA 70E Low Voltage Qualified Certificate, HSI First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate, OSHA 10-hour Certificate, and the GWO BST Certificate, verified by WINDA. The GWO BST Certificate encompasses training in working at heights, first aid, fire awareness, and manual handling, ensuring participants are thoroughly prepared for the demands of the wind energy sector.
