Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

This course provides participants with the opportunity to discuss and demonstrate neonatal resuscitation skills. It includes principles of resuscitation, initial steps, use of devices, chest compressions, intubation, LMA insertion, medications, special considerations, resuscitation of the pre-term baby, and end of life ethics and care. Course follows American Academy of Pediatrics and AHA guidelines.
Pre-Course Overview: Students must complete the 9th Edition ADVANCED NRP Provider Curriculum prior to attending the Instructor-Led-Event. Students must complete the online curriculum and contact the NIACC Continuing Education Department at 641-422-4358 to schedule their skills verification and arrange payment. Skills verifications are scheduled in two-hour increments. Students must complete the Instructor-Led-Event within 90 days of completing the online ADVANCED NRP Provider Curriculum.
