Motorcycle Rider Course 111747 (Mason City)

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course is a learn-to-ride education and training safety program that consists of the online MSF Basic eCourse to address basic motorcycle knowledge, five hours of classroom instruction with 10 hours of on-cycle, hands-on instruction. A course completion card may provide an insurance discount. Riders must be able to balance a bicycle to participate in the riding portion of the course, and a riding skills test must be passed for successful completion. Required for students 16-18 years of age to obtain a Class L license. No refunds are provided for students failing to successfully complete the class. The eCourse must be completed online prior to coming to class using a unique code assigned to each student. Two weeks prior to class, NIACC Continuing Education will send each student a unique code along with instructions to complete the eCourse.  The eCourse will take a minimum of three hours to complete.  A completion certificate will be issued when the eCourse has been successfully completed. The student must print the certificate and bring to the first class (or have the certificate available electronically on his/her phone). A short quiz over the eCourse materials will be given at the start of the first class. Pre-register by July 13th.
