This course is designed to update participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for resusitating the infant and child in cardiopulmonary arrest, respiratory failure and shock and to discuss special considerations related to other pediatric illness, injury and care based on AHA Guidelines. Pre-course Requirements: Be proficient in BLS; familiar with the PALS algorithms and flowcharts; basic pharmacology; identify and interpret core ECG rhythms; complete pre-course Self-Assessment test. A passing score of 70% or above is required to attend class. Print certificate and bring to class. Student manual is required for class participation and will be mailed 2 weeks prior to course.
