Bridges of Madison County Bus Trip

Embark on a captivating day trip with NIACC and renowned Iowa author, Sara Broers, to explore the enchanting Bridges of Madison County. Your adventure begins with a comfortable bus ride, offering scenic views and engaging commentary from Sara Broers, who will share insights into the rich history and cultural significance of the area. We will visit at least three of the historic covered bridges, each with its own unique charm and story to tell.  Sara will provide a wealth of knowledge and a wonderful engaging experience as we visit these historical landmarks.  There will be a stop in Winterset Town Square where you can shop, dine, and even visit the John Wayne Birthplace and Museum if you choose.  After some time at the town square, we will load the bus back up and visit a few more bridges before heading back home.  This trip has it all, history, scenery, shopping, leisurely strolls, lots of photo opportunities and a chance to meet some wonderful people.  We will depart early in the morning and return early evening so we will have plenty of time to experience all the things. Lunch will be on your own when we visit the Town Square.  Expenses of the bus and a light snack are covered in your registration fee.
