This course is designed to prepare the Licensed Practical Nurse to perform procedures related to the expanded scope of intravenous therapy in a licensed hospital, licensed skilled nursing facility and a certified end-stage renal dialysis unit identified in 655 a AC 6.5(3). Major emphasis is placed on specialized skills to provide intravenous therapy related to the expanded scope of practice.
