Attracting and retaining a diverse workforce does not end with recruiting; it only begins there. Hiring and retaining diverse talent requires developing and sustaining a welcoming and inclusive environment that creates a sense of belonging and engagement for all employees.
In partnership with Iowa Works and Employers' Council of Iowa, NIACC Continuing Education brings you this dynamic and engaging session. The half-day seminar, divided into two parts, will provide employers with the tools and ideas necessary to grow and strengthen their company through diversity. Part 1 will include an overview of the business case for diversity, recruiting, and onboarding for a diverse workforce, recognizing and avoiding bias, and proper training of supervisors. Part 2 will focus on understanding cultural issues, and creating and sustaining a welcoming environment.
