Spark a new career in welding! Learn and develop the basic skills for entry-level manufacturing welding with Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) process. Throughout this classroom and hands-on lab training, you will be instructed on the proper weld safety, machine setup, and welding techniques and procedures to weld carbon steel in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions. In addition, you will receive training in general math, maximizing your time in the workplace, communication, and job searching in order to be successful in obtaining and maintaining employment in this high-demand field. Personal protective equipment will be provided.

Notice

Please read:  REGISTRATION DEADLINE - 6/19/2024 at 2pm. This program will be held on the Mason City NIACC Campus, Buettner Careers Building, room 124. Students are required to provide and wear jeans, steel toe boots, welding jacket, clear safety glasses and MIG welding gloves. Welding helmet, tools and materials are provided.
